Georgy Ostretsov: I want to tell everything about everything

Georgy Ostretsov (b. 1967) was born in Moscow and started his artistic career in the mid-1980s. In his works he mixed the aesthetics of Constructivism and New Wave, performance art, comics and fashion. After living 10 years in Paris where he collaborated with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Luc Besson, Ostretsov moved back to Moscow in 1998. In 2009 Ostretsov presented Russia at the 53rd Venice Biennale. Art Focus Now visited Ostretsov in his Moscow studio and talked about the importance for an artist to have a mission, about the AI abstract consciousness, and what furniture do robots need.
